摘要
随着移动通信技术的不断发展,手机已绝不仅仅是满足人们对社交与通信需求的工具。作为全国覆盖受众超过4.6亿的通用载体,手机可为我们提供图片、音频、视频、Web网页、电子邮件以及实时影像等多种信息。在融合了报纸、广播、电视甚至互联网诸多特点之余,手机还具有便携、互动、定向以及个性化等特点及优势。而短信作为这一载体中最重要、最具代表性的媒介形态,自其问世起便迅速融入到了我们的生活中来。据信息产业部在2006年的统计数据显示,截至7月,全国手机用户共发送了2385亿条短信。从中我们不难看出,手机短信以其高速度、高数量、高覆盖等特点影响到了人们社会及文化生活的各个层面。因此,有学者将它定义为继新媒体后的“第五媒体”也不无道理。本文以大众传播的相关理论为背景,分析手机短信的传播特性。结合手机短信的流行现象,探析手机短信的社会影响及产生原因、在文化介质层面上的特点,并根据当下的技术与时代现状展望手机短信的未来发展趋势。

Abstract
The emergence of mobile phone short message, is a revolution in the history of human culture. Mobile phone text messages to mobile phones as the carrier of "the fifth media", the rapid intervention in people's life, affects people's social life and cultural aspects of life. In this paper, from the phenomenon with the characteristics of mobile phone text messages, the reasons for their popularity and its culture medium level, cultural characteristics and functions of the cell phone text messages are analyzed, the SMS popular that not only is a kind of cultural phenomenon is popular, it shows is the rise of a new way of life.Throughout the development process of human civilization history, each new media new technology revolution will have a profound impact on human society and cultural life. "The medium is the message", the famous Marshall Mcluhan judgment is the highly generalization of the status and role of the media in the development of human society. In twentieth Century at the end of the phone, is the suddenness of a thunderbolt to intervene in people's lives, as a kind of new media culture influence to the social life and cultural aspects.
